Ear Wax Removal – Micro Suction, Irrigation & Instrumentation
Join us for an in-depth Ear Wax Removal – Micro Suction, Irrigation & Instrumentation training course specifically designed for Audiologists or those working in the Audiology industry such as Hearing Care Assistants who are eager to elevate their expertise in ear wax removal. This intensive two-day course blends theory with hands-on practice, providing you with the opportunity to work directly with real clients in our clinic under expert supervision. You will cover three main areas of ear wax removal; Micro Suction, Irrigation & Instrumentation. We maintain exceptionally small class sizes to ensure personalised training, and we offer specialised instruction for both Loupes and Microscopes. Importantly, this course has been designed to comply with the current British Society of Audiology (BSA) Practice Guidance in Aural Care (Ear Wax Removal), co-written by one of our own tutors, Sarah Riches.

Who is this course aimed at:-
Delegates must be working in the field of Audiology only and under the supervision of a Registered Audiologist, or in a related medical role e.g. ENT or practice nurse.

Prerequisites
1) Delegates must be experienced in Otoscopy and currently performing it in practice. Delegates who do not meet this criteria will be invited to attend the Ear Examination (Otoscopy) course first.
2) Delegates must be working in the field of Audiology as a Registered Audiologist or under the supervision of a Registered Audiologist, or in a related medical role e.g. ENT or practice nurse.

With many years of teaching and assessing students of Audiology in clinical, further and higher education settings, Sarah has the talent to recognise the needs and learning styles of each individual under her guidance. She empowers her students to reach beyond their perceived boundaries, by guiding them with patience and empathy every step of the way. She has an open and friendly manner of teaching with a unique way of explaining complicated topics that help our students leave with a new found confidence.
Sarah also co-wrote the current BSA wax removal guidelines that we adhere to at The Audiology Academy.
Julia Rogers
Julia has a calm, warm, but thorough teaching style that inspires delegates to want to learn more, explaining information in a way that’s easy to understand and absorb.
